Food facts
Raspberries are very high in vitamins C and A. They are also fat and cholesterol free and are a good source of iron, potassium, and calcium. Raspberries contain a natural antioxidant substance called ellagic acid which research suggests has cancer protecting properties. It has also been shown that raspberries help lower high blood cholesterol levels and have a slow release of carbohydrates into the blood stream of diabetics.
